In case of an upright connection to the SIGN IT Lite API, all transactions are transmitted to the Italian Revenue Agency in real-time.
If there is no connection to the API, or if the Web Portal is temporarily unavailable, there is a so-called Emergency Procedure which has to be followed. This procedure is a manual process to record sales in case of connection loss. It can be carried out on paper, or in digital form.
For each individual transaction the following information has to be recorded:
- Date and time of issue
- total amount of the transaction (both including and excluding VAT) and
- VAT amount(s) applicable.
