SIGN IT - What to enter in the "producer" field if the POS is software-only?

Even if the POS (Point of Sale) does not include any hardware components, the API still requires both the producer and software fields to be filled out when creating the System.

In such cases, you can simply provide software-related information in the producer field as well: 

  • The type field must always be set to "MPN".
  • The number field can contain a software identifier, such as a SKU or a unique internal code, to comply with the API requirements.
  • In the details.name, you can enter the name of the POS software.
